Job Overview

You will excel as a Human Resources Business Partner if you are passionate about driving people and culture initiatives that enhance team performance, employee retention, and professional development. In this role, you will provide high-touch support to employees and leadership, building trust and strong relationships through exceptional communication and a proactive presence.

Success in this position requires a balance of strategic partnership and employee advocacy, ensuring alignment between business goals and people strategies. You will lead key HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition and retention, training and development, and succession planning, all while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide counsel, feedback and coaching on broad ranging issues including business operations, process and all employee related actions that enhance the individual growth and performance of respected verticals.
  • Work strategically to diagnose problems, analyze data, identify root causes, and recommend solutions for HR related business issues. In partnership with the EVP of Human Resources, develop strategic solutions for improvement.
  • Participate in leadership meetings as a business partner to identify employee impact (development, employee relations, performance management, talent management, etc), relating to business strategies.
  • Provide advice and recommendations in all areas of Human Resources related programs, policies, and laws.
  • Conduct and document investigations pertaining to unemployment, harassment, discrimination, etc. in accordance with company guidelines as well as directives by company legal department, collaborate with Legal Counsel on issues where appropriate
  • Coach field management through conflict management/resolution, discipline/corrective action, policy and procedures and labor law compliance
  • Provide leadership and guidance on key skill development opportunities, training, within not only the assigned verticals, but across the entire enterprise.
  • Provide strategy and lead, the rollout of core training programs, from both a content and delivery perspective.
  • Responsible for the development of a mentorship program for the enterprise, with a focus on high potential and high performers.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition Manager and hiring managers to ensure successful on-boarding for new hires.
  • Manage, understand, and analyze employee turnover within assigned vertical(s). Recommend appropriate strategies and partner with EVP, Human Resources to impact employee turnover.
  • Lead strategy to build capable, diverse, performing talent within assigned verticals(s) by owning talent management and performance calibration processes in partnership with vertical leadership.

Required Experience And Education

  • Minimum BA/BS degree required
  • Minimum 7-10 years diverse and progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist capacity dealing with complex business and Human Resources issues (employee relations, coaching/counseling, change management, etc.).
  • Human Resources experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods, (CPG), environment a plus.
  • Experience in developing training and training materials for employees at all levels of the organization a plus.
  • Experience in working with different behavior-based models such as DISC, Insights Discovery, Meyers Brigg is a plus.
  • Proven experience with the development of mentorship programs to aid in the development of high potential talent is a plus.
  • Has demonstrated recruiting experience using multiple sourcing techniques and ability to seek out creative strategies on an ongoing basis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office including excel, word and power point.
  • Experience with human resource information systems required. Experience with UKG a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic working relationships with leaders and act as a strategic partner on all people related decisions.
  • Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to easily engage others within a training/development environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%
