What will your day look like? As a Big Data Statistical Analyst you will:
- Act as a trusted advisor and collaborative partner with external and internal customers, providing analytical and data support for multiple initiatives, projects, and programs.
- Perform data analyses using appropriate statistical methods and graphical display standards, utilizing multiple data sources to develop market and business insights.
- Develop and maintain high quality reporting systems that generate reliable, repeatable and trusted results for external and internal customers.
- Present reports and insights to external and internal customers as part of advising customers on how to best meet their business objectives based on what the data is saying. Provide recommendations for improvement and written documentation that relates to the analysis of the data.
- Responsible for ensuring high level of quality in all aspects of work (coding, QA, customer deliverables).
You will be a good fit for the Big Data Analyst role if you have:
- A bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Data analytics skills using SQL, Python, and/or R to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information derived from large data sources.
- Experience conducting data validation and resolving data oriented problems such as missing data, duplicate, non-standardized, or incorrect data.
- An understanding of various database structures and common methods in data transformation.
- Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop or multi-million record relational database structures.
- Intermediate level data analysis programming ability (R, SAS, SPSS, SQL, Spark, etc.).
- The ability to function in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Excellent organization and time management skills with strong written and verbal communication skills.
