Essential Functions:
The Controller is directly involved in the financial management of the Calgren entities: an opportunity without equal in California.
· The Controller directly manages accounting and controllership functions and is a proactive member of the Finance team.
· The Controller works with the leadership team, and a variety of internal and external stakeholders to drive company growth and initiatives, ensuring the financial integrity, control and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
Duties
- Provide analysis, management reporting, planning, and accounting support to our innovative and growing businesses.
- Manage and support individual members of the Finance team in a supervisory capacity.
- Work with various groups and individuals, including business finance, operations, plant, manufacturing, regulatory agencies, auditors, customers and vendors.
- Ensure accounts are reconciled, lead month-end closing activities, analyze and prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly business performance updates and other related analyses.
- Lead annual audit activities and work with outside accounting partner on tax related issues.
- Understand material and information flow in all processes.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in both revenue and expense cycle transactions.
- Oversee monetization of green attributes.
- Track and manage capital expenditure project accounting and budgets.
- Drive ERP implementation and utilization across multiple entities leading the transition from periodic cost accounting to perpetual cost accounting and inventory control thereby eliminating several outside of system, Excel-based, high keystroke processes.
- Champion monthly reporting and analysis of inventory levels, trends, variances; analyze over/under absorption, perform inventory cost roll and BOMs updates and advise on the rates/standards setting as needed.

Pay: $76,051.94 - $144,211.48 per year
