Responsibilities
Take-Offs
- Review plans and perform quantity take-offs to support budgeting and bidding efforts
Trade Outreach
- Contact subcontractors about upcoming opportunities to budget or bid
- Follow up with subcontractors during the bid process to answer questions and confirm they are still on track to meet the bid deadline
Estimating
- Collect actual cost information from previous projects to create a cost database
- Use quantity take-offs and costs from comparable projects to provide budgeting support
Scope Review / Bidding
- Review subcontractor proposals and create a scope (leveling) sheet to help the bid leader determine the most competitive qualified subcontractor
Contracting
- Create subcontract scopes of work based on the bid scope sheet
