As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of equipment and facilities. This includes troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of machinery, mechanical equipment, and physical structures. You will complete routine checks on facility equipment such as vacuum pumps, chillers, air handlers, generators, freezers, and ovens; perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building equipment and smaller mechanical/electrical systems. This role requires both independent and collaborative work, maintaining a safe and efficient environment, and ensuring alignment with company standards and safety protocols. This role reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager.
Key deliverables for this role
- Complete routine checks and inspections on facility equipment, such as vacuum pumps, chillers, air handlers, generators, freezers, and ovens, diagnosing and addressing any problems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on building equipment and smaller mechanical/electrical systems, including mechanical and electrical controls, hydraulic and pneumatic components.
- Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

- Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude: strong mechanical skills with a basic understanding of electrical systems and components, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Self-starter with demonstrated organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED (required) with a technical degree or certification in a related field (desired).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a maintenance department or a similar role.
- Basic welding skills and experience with forklift operation.

Pay: $21.34 - $25.70 per hour
