Job Summary: Marketing Alliance Samples is seeking a reliable and efficient Machine Set-Up Operator for the Beveling Department to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating beveling machines to prepare samples for marketing purposes.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Configure and operate beveling machines according to production specifications to create precise bevel edges on various materials.
- Monitor the beveling process to ensure samples meet quality standards, making necessary adjustments to maintain consistent bevel angles and edge quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on beveling equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while setting up beveling machines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates.
- Work efficiently to meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to ensure smooth workflow and address any production challenges.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience with hand tools (wrenches).
- At least 2 years of experience in setting up machinery, preferably beveling machines.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic repairs.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
- Ability to work in a variety of roles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Supervision Received:
Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Sitting: Remaining in a seated position.
- Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
