Job Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will oversee recruitment, training, employee relations, safety, compensation, and data management for assigned facilities. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting the company's strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and administer company-wide HR policies and practices.
- Manage recruitment and retention strategies, including succession planning.
- Ensure employees are compliant with all safety training requirements.
- Address sensitive and complex employment issues in coordination with the HR Director.
- Oversee employee relations, including counseling, policy interpretation, and orientation.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain all required safety records.
- Administer HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, performance management, and training.
- Handle employment-related inquiries, escalating sensitive matters as necessary.
- Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and stay updated on HR best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience:
- 6-8 years of HR management experience in a manufacturing/industrial plant setting (multi-plant experience preferred).
- Proven track record in recruitment/staffing for various levels, including senior management.
- Familiarity with internet and social media recruitment methods is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, EEO compliance, and safety practices.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional project management and multitasking abilities.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education or certifications preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
- Moderate walking and consistent use of repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Must tolerate plant environments, including typical noises and smells.
