Job Summary: Marketing Alliance Group Transportation is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious non-CDL Driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and pick-up of products between our facilities and vendors, primarily focusing on general freight materials related to the printing and display industries. This role involves completing delivery-related paperwork, ensuring timely and safe transportation, and assisting with warehousing and inventory placement as needed.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up general freight material, including products and supplies related to the printing and display industries.
- Complete necessary paperwork associated with deliveries and pickups, including inspection logs, delivery receipts, mileage records, and gas receipts.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety standards and are in proper working condition.
- Assist with the unloading, placement, and organization of materials in the warehouse as required. Ensure proper storage and inventory management during delivery operations.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company policies regarding transportation and vehicle safety. Maintain accurate records of driving hours, fuel usage, and other relevant operational details.
- Perform other duties as assigned related to transportation and warehouse operations, including loading/unloading freight and inventory control.
Requirements:
- Valid Class C License (non-CDL required).
- Must have experience operating a lift truck (forklift) for loading/unloading purposes.
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a safe driving history.
- Must pass a DOT Drug Screen, DOT Physical, and DOT Breath Alcohol Test.
- Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
- Ability to work in a variety of roles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize the tact and diplomacy required to foster a team environment while keeping projects on schedule and budget.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Supervision Received:
Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Prior experience as a driver required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
