Job Summary: The Quality Line Auditor performs in-line quality audits on scheduled jobs (Extrusion, Injection, Fabrication, etc.) in accordance with established procedures and guidelines per the customer’s specific part requirements. Assist with receiving inspection and help maintain the quality management system.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform in-line audits on parts per the directions listed on part specific inspections during production.
- In-Line audits include the following:
- Visual inspections (inspect for defects)
- Measuring required dimensions (diameters, lengths, widths, etc.)
- Perform specialized test as required (flex, breakage, and flatness)
- Record results as found
- Reject product that does not meet customer's requirements following a defined nonconforming process.
- Identify the status of containers (QA Approved)
Immediately notify the Quality Control Manager and Shift Supervisor of any quality problems.

- Have flexibility to perform other tasks as required by the Quality Control Manager.
- Ensure the Quality Management System requirements are met.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Munsel Color Test or equivalent
- Basic gage usage
- Basic computer skills (MS excel, MS Outlook preferred)
- Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
- Ability to work in a variety of roles.
- Strong project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize the tact and diplomacy required to foster a team environment while keeping projects on schedule and budget.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Supervision Received:
Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Previous Quality Auditor experience in a manufacturing setting required
- ISO 9001 certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
- Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
- Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
- Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
- Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
