JOB SUMMARY
The Fulfillment Assistant performs warehouse duties and functions to support inventory integrity, pick-n-pack order processing, sorting, basic hand and machine operations to gather, collate, insert, fold, staple or bind and general maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: This position will be expected to:
- Ensure orders are accurately processed and shipped on time
- Assist the Fulfillment lead to ensure all daily Service Level Agreements are met
- Help coordinate and manage temporary labor workforce
PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING: Dexterity Testing, Distribution Associate Selector, Analytical Skills Assessment
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
All duties and requirements are essential job functions unless otherwise indicated.
- Fulfillment Assistant Responsibilities - 90%
- Functions may include, but are not limited to unloading, putting-away, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, machine operation, auditing, shipping, making boxes, etc.
- Performs stocking, picking, packing, counting, manual and machine bindery operations, housekeeping and safety functions, sealing/labeling boxes and palletizes cartons for shipment.
- Hand and machine collating, folding, binding, padding, inserting and inspecting.
- Order processing, Picking/Packing orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped.
- Process order and match order contents to packing list information to ensure 100% order accuracy.
- Checks, verifies and audits merchandise to ensure that ordered merchandise has been received and that merchandise is as ordered and not damaged or defective.
- Cycle count in-house product/items, verify computations against physical counts to maintain and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Identify incorrect/short shipped items and immediately notify supervisor.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects.
- Performs any needed in-process quality checks.
- Material Handler – 5%
- Hand pallet operation moving skids to maintain a smooth workflow in and out of the production area.
- Paper and product jogging, sorting and boxing.
- Maintenance – 5%
- General maintenance on equipment and housekeeping responsibilities to ensure a safe, clean work area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED or combination of education and experience.
- Fulfillment experience preferable in a fast-paced distribution facility.
- Machine experience or training strongly preferred.
