JOB SUMMARY
Digital Press Operator, Digital I will perform numerous machine operations to support the plant digital press area and total plant operations. Responsible for equipment set up, adjustment, operating procedures and a corresponding skill set to operate, adjust the equipment and overseeing all phases of the tasks associated with press operation and maintenance. Responsible for evaluating situations and making decisions to ensure the quality of the finished product.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Uses digital printing software programs to effectively create large commercial print materials per client request by operating control panel, monitoring and adjusting configurations.
- Responsible for performing tasks associated with laser digital equipment operation, set up and maintenance.
- Reads all information regarding specifications on work orders, layouts and job tickets; checks proof to match job for content and accuracy.
- Operates control panel and monitors and/or adjusts configurations.
- Quality checks at all times to ensure accuracy.
- Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on the machinery as needed.
- Performs veritable data functions and maintains equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Some high school coursework is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- HP Certifications preferred. Experience on HP 7800, Kodak Digital Web or Ricoh is preferred.
- Understanding of variable data placement, preferred.
