About The Opportunity
As a Sr. Data Engineer, you’ll join a close-knit team to build the future of a platform destined to power immersive digital experiences for our customers and partners.
In this role you will demonstrate technical expertise in design, development, modification and debugging of data models, data warehousing, BI reporting solutions, and oversee database capacity planning, high availability, and optimal database performance.
What You'll Do
- Communicate database designs to business and technical audiences, including business users, program sponsors, database administrators, ETL and BI developers
- Evaluate potential technology/tool solutions that meet business needs, and facilitate internal and external discussions towards desirable outcomes
- Effectively collaborate with solution architects, and project resources in systems integration and compatibility, as well as act as a leader for coaching, training, and providing guidance
- Create functional and technical documentation related to data architecture and business intelligence solutions
- Provide technical consulting to application development teams during application design and development for highly complex or critical projects
- Design data governance procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations
- 7 years of experience as a Data Architect and/or Database Engineer
- Strong T-SQL scripting
- Data warehouse and visualization experience, including demonstrated strong Logical, Physical and Dimensional Modeling skills
- Experience in design of technology roadmaps and the transition from the current architectural framework to target architecture of the future
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document and present data models, strategies, standards, and concepts to both business and IT audiences
- Experience with the following tech & tools:
- Databases: MS SQL Server, Azure SQL Server, Cosmos dB, MongoDB, Elastic
- Azure Tools: Cosmos DB, SQL Database, Analytics, HD Insight, SQL Warehouse, Machine Learning, Data Factory, Analysis Services, Azure Functions, Key Store, Fabric, Power BI
- ETL Tools: SQL Server Integration Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Stream Analytics, Talend or similar
- Competitive base salary: $124,000-$155,000

- 2nd Round: 60-minute interview with the Hiring Manager, followed by technical and aptitude assessments
