About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Collections Coordinator to join our team in Plymouth, MI. As a Collections Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping manage the past due rent collection and payment plans for our residents. You will work closely with our legal team to ensure that any eviction proceedings are handled in a timely and efficient manner. Your main goal will be to minimize the financial impact of past due rent on the owners we represent, while maintaining positive relationships with our residents.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in collection management or related field
- Strong knowledge of property management laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the property management industry
- Familiarity with using different CRM software and computer programs
- Comfortable with ledgers and basic math skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage the past due rent process for our rental properties
- Communicate with tenants to resolve payment issues and avoid eviction
- Maintain accurate records of all payment plans and eviction proceedings
- Collaborate with property managers to ensure that all collection-related expenses are properly accounted for

This role is hybrid from out office in downtown Plymouth, MI. We are currently in office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays.
