What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment Operations Manager position at MarketX Ventures?
Lead the financial and operational team responsible for investor reporting, compliance with the fund agreements, management and financial reporting, performance measurement, and financial analysis. The role will include high levels of interaction with investors, as well as colleagues across the firm (investment research, operations, technology, sales, etc.)
Responsibilities include :
Quarter-end accounting and NAV review, review of financial statements and leading on audits, ad hoc reporting for management, internal clients and investors, and performance reporting
Oversee setup of fund structures and investments
Responsibility for overseeing books and records for the MarketX50 Private Equity fund and any future investment funds
Review financial statements, partner allocations, capital account statements and performance reporting as prepared by junior members of the team
Lead the capital calls process, calculate and manage distributions to investors, as well as journal entries, cash movements and monthly / quarterly closing work papers
Work with internal and external tax counsel on investor tax reporting and investment structuring
Work with the investment teams on deal closings and financings
Complete ad hoc and special projects and initiatives as directed
