Markey's, a multi-state leading provider of creative audio-visual services, is seeking a Full-Time Account Manager to join our team in Columbus, OH. The Account Manager is responsible for providing audiovisual consultation services to established and potential customers over the phone, online, and in person for the Central Ohio market. The individual will work with existing, contracted customers to ensure continuation of service, and will seek out prospective / new customers in the Central Ohio area.
The position will involve typical daytime hours, although occasional early mornings, late nights and / or weekend work may be required based on the event schedule or client needs.
Position Responsibilities
- Discuss with customer their audiovisual needs and the purpose of the event, meeting, or presentation to gain a proper understanding of their goals and objectives.
- Provide consultation and suggestions on the best possible applications of audiovisual equipment based on customers’ needs and budgets.
- Arrange and actively participate in planning meetings and site inspections for clients and potential clients.
- Provide technicians with detailed information regarding location, schedule, logistics, equipment, staging, and customer contact information.
- Be onsite as needed / requested to support events and ensure customer comfort level.
- Provide effective and prompt responses to all customer inquiries.
- Prepare quotes and track equipment. May include conferring with Consultants, Project Manager or Technicians for suggestions and ideas to determine appropriate solutions for the client. More complex projects may be completely handed off to Project Manager for implementation.
- Prepare, review and submit billing numbers ahead of time and then finalize after event’s completion with accurate reconciled labor and cross-rental costs.
- Work with Branch Office Manager to resolve any customer concerns or billing discrepancies.
- Solicit new business and ensure that customers receive the proper service and equipment needed to accomplish their objectives.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned to ensure success of Markey’s events.
