Maintenance Technician

Markley is New Englands largest and longest operating multi-tenant, mission-critical telecommunication, and data center with facilities in Boston and Lowell MA.

The Maintenance Technician preforms a variety of maintenance/manual labor and painting for the Property Management Department. The person will report directly to the Lowell Maintenance Team Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Patching and painting walls and surfaces, repair and adjust inoperable doors and hardware, replace damaged or missing ceiling tiles, cove base and carpet repairs, hang boards, pictures, signs and other wall fastened items, minor furniture repairs, general carpentry functions, maintain a professional/safe and clean environment, participate in projects as needed.
• Provide general assistance for both internal construction projects and large capital projects.
• Load, unload, and deliver construction materials to project jobsite
• Assist various skilled trades and other construction site workers as needed.
• Build and maintain custom temporary projection around construction projects including but not limited to plastic sheeting, rigid insulation, and plywood.
• Understands and abides by OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies relating to job site safety, demonstrates safe work practices.
• Able to work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and to meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks.
• Able to climb and operate on ladders, MEWPs, able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Position requires a valid drivers license and acceptable background check per company standards.
• Potential for Overtime work.
