Responsibilities
Markley is seeking an experienced Armed Security Officer with an active U.S. government issued security clearance. At Markley, a Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As a Cleared Security Officer, you will receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism.
- Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
- You will make sure employees, visitors and contractors are properly cleared and possess proper security badges when accessing the property. Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel.
- You will protect property, materials, equipment, and information from danger of terrorism, sabotage, espionage, intrusion, and criminal acts.
- Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
- Function as a first responder in emergency situations.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- Must hold an active U.S. government issued security clearance is required. (national security eligibility determinations consider a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
- A valid license to carry in Massachusetts required prior to employment.
- Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Intermediate computer skills to operate access control systems.
- Computer proficiency to perform database searches.
