Job Description: Associate Lawyer Position
Our law firm, Markow Walker, P.A., is currently seeking an Associate Lawyer to join our Workers' Compensation team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in litigation and defense work, with experience in the following areas:
- Insurance Defense
- Workers' Compensation
- Premises Liability
- Product Liability
- Automobile Torts
- Mediation
- Medical Malpractice
- Personal Injury
The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, as well as strong oral communication abilities.
Duties will include:
- e-filing of legal documents
- preparation of affidavits, subpoenas, discovery, settlement demands, briefs, contracts, etc.
- scheduling and attending depositions, hearings, doctor appointments, motions
- maintenance of attorney calendars
- billable time entries
- staying aware of deadlines
- additional duties as assigned
- file management
