Marks Education seeks a 40 hour/week Office Assistant to provide in-person administrative support for the company.

Location: The position will be based in the Bethesda, MD office, but there will be occasional working days in the other company offices located in McLean, VA, and Washington, DC.
Office hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., including 30-minute lunch break, with the option to telework on Fridays.
Report to the Finance, Admin and Operations Manager (“Manager”).
Salary: $22-$24/ hour
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working at the counseling division’s front desk, maintaining a professional demeanor and full focus when assisting with client visits, calls, e-mails, and mail
- Maintaining absolute confidentiality with client, HR, and financial information
- Working with Manager and coordinating with other admins to support both counseling and tutoring divisions
- Utilizing Microsoft Office programs to create various documents and spreadsheets
- Assisting with basic financial data entry
- Preparing expense reports with guidance from Manager
- Filing, copying and scanning sensitive documents
- Updating Database manual, with direction from Manager
- Following company policies and procedures, as directed
- Drafting contracts and appointment confirmations and reminders for clients and staff
- Under the supervision of Manager, reconciling appointment billing
- Scheduling appointments and managing client enrollments
- Maintaining current records
- Ordering office supplies, when needed and maintaining supply inventory
- Performing other duties, as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
- A college degree (preferred) or at least two years of relevant administrative experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- A meticulous and detail-oriented mindset
- A strong work ethic, dependable and punctual
- An ability to follow instructions
- An ability to multitask and work independently when needed
- An ability to manage and protect confidential and sensitive information
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Knowledge of using Mac-based applications
- Knowledge of mail merges for labels, letters, etc.
