What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Marks, O'Neill, O'Brien, Doherty & Kelly, P.C.?
MARKS, O’NEILL, O’BRIEN, DOHERTY & KELLY, a premier insurance defense law firm, seeks to hire a Paralegal experienced in Insurance Defense for our Towson, MD office. This is a hybrid position and candidate required to have experience in Philadelphia Law. Excellent salary and benefits package.
Essential Functions:
- Preparation of pleadings including answers to complaints, motions, etc.
- Preparing and monitoring the case calendar, adhering to compliance deadlines for multiple clients.
- Reviewing medical records and preparing summaries.
- Preparing settlement forms, sending out settlement packages, sending out checks and updating settlement charts.
- Ability to track and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
- 3 years law firm experience.
- Prior insurance defense litigation experience required.
- Applicants with a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, document management software and Nuance.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
