Job Description

MARKS, O’NEILL, O’BRIEN, DOHERTY & KELLY, a premier insurance defense law firm, seeks to hire a Paralegal experienced in Insurance Defense for our Towson, MD office. This is a hybrid position and candidate required to have experience in Philadelphia Law. Excellent salary and benefits package.

Essential Functions:

• Preparation of pleadings including answers to complaints, motions, etc.
• Preparing and monitoring the case calendar, adhering to compliance deadlines for multiple clients.
• Reviewing medical records and preparing summaries.
• Preparing settlement forms, sending out settlement packages, sending out checks and updating settlement charts.
• Ability to track and meet deadlines
  
  

Qualifications:

• 3 years law firm experience.
• Prior insurance defense litigation experience required.
• Applicants with a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, document management software and Nuance.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
