This role is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level in the following HR functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment and employment law compliance. Responsibilities
- Provides administrative support to the department: scheduling, screening calls, copies, mail, setting up and maintaining various files, systems are updated, and reports. Communicate to the relevant parties within deadlines
- Update departmental systems with onboarding, offboarding, and employee termination paperwork. Active staff information, such as candidates photos, and employee ID's, uniforms, name tag and badges
- Coordinates pre-employment functions, including initiating and tracking background checks, driving test and drug testing for new hires
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
- Schedule and conduct HR and Benefits Orientation for all corporate new hires
- Schedules MSO orientation with new hires and coordinates calendars for the orientation
- Ensure accuracy when processing data across all HR ATS Systems such as ADP, ICIMS, E-verify etc.
- Maintain employee files, ensuring that documents are stored and named correctly and always accessible and secured
- Provide prompt and thorough responses to employment inquiries and verifications
- Participate and recommend new approaches in developing department goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems
- Work collaboratively with recruiting department on HR administrative tasks to achieve departmental goals
- Coordinates all department purchasing including maintaining office supply and uniform inventory
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Human Resources needs
- 1-3 years of experiencein Human Resources or related field
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now to manage new hires, rehire, onboarding and employee benefits
- Excellent interpersonal skills, relating to employees and coworkers
- Understands the importance of data protection and confidentiality
- Must be able to adapt to ATS (ICIMS)
- A diligent and astute learner with a remarkable ability to absorb and retain new information
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment while remaining calm under pressure
- Proactive and able to take initiative and Meticulous attention to detail and multitask
- Ability to identify and correct errors and inconsistencies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, professional at all times
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Google Suite Platforms(Docs, Drive)
- Ability to pass a crminial background check and drug screen
