Responsibilities
- Observation and Vigilance:
- Mustremain alertat all times, observe their surroundings, looking for signs of suspicious activity, potential threats, or disorderly conduct.
- Acknowledge unusual activities and investigate further or report it to the appropriate authorities.
- Access Control:
- Responsible formonitoring access points. Check tickets, passes, or identification to ensure only authorized individuals enter the station.
- Unauthorized individuals or trespassers are promptly addressed and removed from the premises.
- Emergency Response:
- In case of emergencies (medical incidents, accidents, fires, etc.), must be able to take swift action. Assist with evacuations, provide first aid, or call for help.
- Familiarity with emergency protocols and communication systems is essential.
- Crime Prevention and Deterrence:
- Be able to act as a visible deterrent against criminal activity to ensure the safety of others
- Conduct patrols on all platforms, parking lots, and other areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or other crimes.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Must be able maintaindetailed recordsof incidents, disturbances, or any unusual occurrences.
- Accurate note-taking helps with investigations and ensures proper follow-up.
- Customer Service:
- Able to interact with commuters, providingassistance and informationwhen needed.
- Politeness, patience, and clear communication are essential for positive interactions.
- At least 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid State BSIS California Guard Card
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with report writing
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Monitoring and surveillance experience
- Essential Computer Competencies
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
- Comfortable with Outdoor Environment in Diverse Weather Conditions
- Must successfully pass Pre-Employment background check
