Overview
Marky's Super Tow is seeking a diligent and organized Material Handler to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our towing and roadside assistance services by managing the equipment and materials needed for daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Receive, store, and track inventory of towing and roadside assistance equipment.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain records of all equipment and supplies.
- Equipment Handling:
- Safely load and unload towing equipment, tools, and materials.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Prepare equipment for dispatch and ensure all necessary tools are available.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate with the dispatch team to ensure timely availability of equipment.
- Assist in organizing and staging equipment for upcoming jobs.
- Track the movement of equipment and materials between the warehouse and service vehicles.
- Warehouse Maintenance:
- Keep the warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Support Operations:
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed.
- Support towing and roadside assistance teams with necessary materials on-site.
- Ensure all paperwork related to equipment and materials is completed accurately.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management software.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity and ability to handle tools and equipment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $19.76 - $22.80 per hour
