Organizational Relationship or Line of Authority :
Reports to the building Principal and through him / her to the Director of Food Service
Statement of Duties :
- Performs tasks requiring an ordinary degree of skill in preparation and serving of food as well as other tasks required for the operation and sanitary maintenance of a food service facility or area.
- Food and paper inventories to be done each month.
- Order all food and paper items (SYSCO).
- Cash sheets, production records, HACCP records, and deposits to be done daily.
- Maintain monthly FP9 form.
- Determine the amounts of food to be served to meet the lunch requirements.
- Cooks food for the students.
- Works with register system during lunch
- Set up and serves food from steam tables
- Prepares vegetables and other foods for cooking.
- Makes soups and other simple hot foods, sandwich fillings, salad dressing, and simple desserts.
- Prepares sandwiches and salads.
- Operates electrical equipment such as mixers, slicing machines, oven, steam cookers, steam kettle and toasters.
- Cleans tables and other kitchen equipment.
- Collects and washes dishes, silver and cooking utensils, and puts them away.
- Sweeps floor, cleans counters and tables, and counter and kitchen equipment, such as food containers, trays, cooking ranges, garbage cans, and refrigerators.
- Receives and checks deliveries of food and other supplies.
- Stores foods properly in refrigerators and storeroom.
- Keeps stores in good order.
- Supervise and evaluate the work of Cafeteria workers.
- Prepare work schedules
- Post duties.
- Report all absentees to Director.
- Prepare inventory of equipment at the end of the school year.
- Perform all other general duties as indicated by directives of the Food Service Director, building Principal, Superintendent of Schools or his / her designee, and polices of the Marlborough School Committee
