Job Description:
- We are seeking an energetic Mechanical Engineer to join our Pumps Product Line Engineering Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with sales staff and customers to fully understand project requirements.
- Prepare formal equipment layout drawings for customer review and approval.
- Develop CAD models representative of the customer's order.
- Create engineering drawings utilizing GD&T.
- Transfer BOM data from CAD to the ERP system.
- Complete assigned tasks/designs within the required timeframe.
- Provide updates on project status and deliverables as necessary.
- Follow project scope and delivery expectations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide engineering assistance to service technicians and customers as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 4 years relevant experience/industry experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to perform the design and engineering functions necessary for all product lines.
- Strong mechanical design comprehension and aptitude.
- Experience designing stainless steel equipment for sanitary applications, including machined components, sheet metal, and welded assemblies is a plus.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Extensive solid modeling background with preference on Creo & SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor software.
- Microsoft Office Experience.
- Experience with Infor Syteline is a plus.
- Ability to use FEA software is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of control systems necessary to communicate design intent.
