What are the responsibilities and job description for the RV Service Writer/Warranty position at Marlette RV?
RV experience is a major plus. Successful candidate will possess great organizational skills, be a great self-starter, have a mechanical aptitude, be able to work with computers. This offer is for a fulltime position and may be required to work half days on rotating Saturdays. This job will require great personal and communications skills in dealing with our customers and fellow employees. Camper/camping experience and knowledge will be a major plus.
Job Description
- Generate and document work orders
- Help determine customers desired service needs and communitcate it well with service technicians
- Photograph warranty issues and upload them to the warranty claims using the computer and internet
- Schedule appointments, vehicle drop offs and pick up
- Verify warranty and service contract coverage
- Work closely with technicians to be sure the work is documented and recorded in a timely fashion
- Applies for payment after authorization and repairs are completed
- Follows up on collecting payments
- Other jobs and duties that are assigned by the dealership management team
- Will Train
Job Requirements:
- Must have great organizational skills and follow up techniques.
- RV Industry experience is a major plus.
- Basic RV technical knowledge is an asset.
- Great telephone skills.
- Customer service skills are essential.
- Be very comfortable in working with numbers, employee time and book keeping.
- Great problem solving skills and computer skills
