What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Director, Group Sales & Service position at Marlins?
Position Summary:
The Senior Director, Group Sales & Service primarily focuses on managing a team of Group Sales & Service Executives and maintaining a focus on revenue generation through the sale of group tickets, hospitality packages, season ticket memberships, and premium seating. This position will receive supervision from the SVP, Ticket Sales & Service with the expectation to exceed annual revenue and paid-ticket targets through the sale of group tickets & hospitality.
Essential Functions:
· Supervise Group Sales & Service Executives and Group Sales and Service Manager
· Work closely with Marketing and Business Analytics Teams to develop and execute sales and marketing campaigns to increase group ticket sales
· Create prospective Group Leader events at loanDepot park and at offsite locations
· Conduct face-to-face appointments with prospective ticket buyers
· Lead regular training sessions for the entire Ticket Sales & Service Department as well as Group Ticket Sales & Service Executives
· Develop new group ticket sales initiatives to increase revenue and attendance
· Identify new technology vendors to improve overall sales efficiency
· Oversee accurate and timely reporting of Group Sales & Service Executives activities and Group Sales pacing to report up to senior leadership
· Network and build relationships in the South Florida community
· Work scheduled shifts during Marlins home games and other LoanDepot park scheduled events
· Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:

· Proven track record in ticket sales – in terms of both personal accomplishments and leading successful sales teams while strategically planning campaigns
· Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with excellent oral and written communication
· Demonstrates high levels of personal and professional integrity and ethics
· Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
· Individual must be comfortable making face-to-face sales presentations and creating opportunities for new business
· Proficient computer skills required (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
· Strong customer services skills required
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
· College Degree – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales primarily sports
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales management primarily in sports
