Primary Responsibilities
- Support customer inquiries via phone / email using technical troubleshooting techniques and offering solutions for Marlo water treatment products
- Train and demonstrate equipment to internal and external customers and technical support staff (in-house, at customer locations or virtual)
- Perform field start-up of water treatment equipment on site at customer locations
- Prepare and deliver quotations for replacement parts for customers
- Participation in product development projects & documentation to improve product quality based on customer feedback
- Collaborate with team members across the organization in Engineering, Sales, Operations, etc. to resolve customer issues
- Interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, BOMs, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical data for accurate customer support of field questions and solutions
- Identify and document non-conformances and root causes of field related customer issues and implement solutions or corrective actions where appropriate
- Maintain product knowledge and apply this understanding to provide unique and custom solutions
- Interface with the ERP systems (NetSuite) to execute transactions and activities
- Occasional hands-on assembly or disassembly of Marlo product for analysis
- Adhere to company procedures and directives for a consistent approach to quality & support
Qualification & Requirements
- 5 years of technical service working directly with customers or related experience in the water treatment equipment industry
- Occasional overnight travel (15-20%) is required
- Familiarity with water industry components from such manufacturers as: Fleck/Pentair, Clack, Aquamatic, Allen-Bradley, HACH, Grundfos, Goulds, GF Signet, major ion exchange resin & RO membrane manufacturers is a plus
- Familiarity with Residential and Commercial water treatment applications and equipment is a plus
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
Abilities & Skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills to work directly with customers & training / leading technical discussions
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Ability to troubleshoot water treatment process systems with controls & PLCs
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, excellent time management skills and self-motivated to execute quality work
- Strong continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to not only resolve problems but also develop proactive solutions to prevent future issues
- Mechanical and Electrical technical aptitude with PLC & Ladder Logic desired
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office software
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
