and Production Specialist – Full Time, in office

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Marlon Lynn Architect, PA https://marlonlynn.com is in search of an Architectural/Revit drafting and production specialist. If hired for this position, you will work extensively with AutoCAD and Revit, assembling construction documents and coordinating activities with team members for commercial and residential projects. The successful candidate for this position must be proficient in reading construction documents and using current versions of AutoCAD and Revit Architecture. This position requires residency near or relocation to the Lakeland, FL area. Work will be performed in-office daily, Monday through Friday.

Five years’ work experience in architecture or a related industry is a requirement for hire. Architectural education, technical education in drafting or experience in construction, or any combination of these, (in addition to the five years’ work experience) are considered as qualifying the candidate for the position.

Requirements and Duties:

· Understanding of the preparation of 2D drawings using AutoCAD and 3D models using Revit;

· Creating construction documents using both AutoCAD and Revit;

· Creating 3D renderings for client review;

· Creating the related deliverables, details, design documents and construction drawings from the information provided;

· Applying knowledge of design practices and interacting with architects to creatively solve design issues.

Required Skills:

· Autodesk certifications are a plus (degree not required assuming strong knowledge and experience);

· Attendance, punctuality and effective time management skills are required;

· Ability to adhere to MLA BIM/CAD standards and design guidelines;

· File maintenance within company storage system;

· Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills;

· Strong teamwork skills and client/customer service skills;

· Ability to take direction and constructive criticism from supervising team members;

· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

If hired for this position, you would be expected to:

· Work effectively under the direction of the Senior Architect and the Associate/Intern Architects.

· Clearly understand and accept the lines of authority within the office organization.

· These are:

o The Senior Architect has supervisory responsibility and authority for the entire staff.

o The Associate/Intern Architects have supervisory responsibility and authority for this position and any other draftspersons and/or production assistants.

o The Business Operations Manager has responsibility and authority for the personnel and financial functions of the firm.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,500.00 - $52,500.00 per year
