We are seeking an Infection Prevention Nurse to join our team at a skilled nursing facility. As the Infection Prevention Nurse, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining infection prevention and control programs to ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff.
Responsibilities :
Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control programs in accordance with current guidelines and regulations
Conduct ongoing surveillance of infections and outbreaks and implement appropriate interventions to prevent the spread of infection
Develop and implement policies and procedures related to infection prevention and control
Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control measures
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement infection control strategies
Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention and control
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with infection prevention and control standards and regulations
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of infection prevention and control activities
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices related to infection prevention and control
Qualifications :
Current LVN license in the state of California
Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection prevention and control in a healthcare setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility
Knowledge of current infection prevention and control guidelines and regulations
Proficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare software
