Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant

House Call Veterinary Practice in search of an assistant who can work independently and virtually with the veterinarian and veterinary assistant by holding down the fort while they are on the road.

The responsibilities for this position are dynamic but some samples of duties include: answering the phone, scheduling appointments, responding to emails/text messages, filing, completing invoices, light cleaning, and assisting the veterinarian on the road when the veterinary assistant is unavailable.
The typical schedule is full time and the hours are 8 am until 4 pm Monday through Friday but at times evenings may be needed.

The success criteria for this job are: computer proficiency with Apple products (iMac, iPhone, and iPad), must be able to work in a moving vehicle, no fears or allergies of dogs and cats, ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, ability to lift 50 pounds, and the ability to call tech support and trouble shoot any problems quickly. Office attire is plain scrubs (no pattern) and closed toe non open backed shoes. Reliability and punctuality are also expected.
Must live within an approximately 10 mile driving distance from the office which is located in Pitman, NJ.

The most important requirement for this position is the desire to work closely with our most important team member, our office dog, Jelly. She loves belly rubs and playing fetch.

Compensation is based on experience and will range from $14 to $17 per hour.
