Job Overview
The Sr. Engineering Refrigeration Testing Expert will be responsible for leading engineering lab activities, including building test setups, gathering materials, and performing testing. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring product quality, improving processes, supporting research and development efforts, and providing accurate data for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the laboratory team to execute testing on Proof of Concept, prototypes, pilots, and other experimental units related to development projects
- Execute testing projects, provide ongoing feedback to stakeholders, identify functional problems and recommend solutions
- Support product development as it relates to performance/validation testing: custom test fixture build, system charge and reclaim, system modification and rebuilds, instrumentation, publish test data and reports
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable standards (e.g., ANSI, IEEE, IEC, UL, DOE, etc.)
- Observe work processes, equipment, and interactions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Perform testing as it relates to safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOE, ENERGY STAR, UL, IEC, etc.)
- Implement 5S principles to ensure a clean, safe, and productive laboratory environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and stakeholders, to achieve project goals
