Job Description:

As a key member of our team, the Tank Car Maintenance Professional conducts all aspects of repair and maintenance on tank cars. This role requires strong leadership and teamwork skills, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and Maintenance - utilizes current repair procedures to ensure compliance and performs necessary repairs.
• Customer Support - meets customer expectations and requirements to ensure satisfaction.
• Clerical - ensures accurate invoicing, inspection, and work order information is complete.
• Maintains certifications and demonstrates familiarity with AAR rules and regulations.
• Performs other work-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to use hand tools (e.g., pipe wrenches, pry bars, wrenches, ratchets).
• Must handle and successfully complete basic railcar repairs and inspections.
• Demonstrates skill in customer relations and teamwork.
• Able to work safely and follow proper procedures.
• Valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stoop for extended periods and move between kneeling and standing positions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground surface.
• Must be able to climb ladders and perform work at elevated heights.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to perform a FIT Test and wear a respirator.
• Must pass company physical exam, drug screening, and background check.
