Overview :

We are seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Senior Technical Support Specialist ( Admin Role ) to work in a key leadership development role alongside the owner of a premier maritime electronics company. This role focuses on troubleshooting, providing advanced technical support, and ensuring the flawless operation of marine control systems, electrical systems, and other maritime technologies. The ideal candidate will have a distinguished technical background, a proactive mindset, and a drive for excellence in leadership and innovation within the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities :

Direct Collaboration with Ownership :

  • Partner closely with the owner to address high-priority technical challenges, ensuring swift and effective solutions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, contributing insights to guide strategic decisions and operational improvements.

Maritime Technical Expertise :

  • Lead efforts to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to marine control systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, and propulsion systems.
  • Deliver expert-level support both remotely and on-site, minimizing downtime and ensuring optimal vessel performance.
  • Leadership & Mentorship Development :

  • Shadow the owner to develop advanced technical, operational, and leadership expertise.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and alignment with company standards.
  • Executive-Level Communication :

  • Serve as a key liaison between the owner, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Articulate technical challenges and solutions in a clear and actionable manner to support decision-making at the highest level.
  • On-Site Support & Travel :
  • Travel to maritime job sites with the owner to oversee high-profile projects, provide hands-on technical support, and ensure project success.
  • Strategic Collaboration :

  • Work across departments, aligning technical solutions with the company’s strategic vision and long-term objectives.
  • Qualifications :

    Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent expertise in the maritime sector.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with marine control systems, diesel engines, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to address complex maritime technical challenges under high-pressure situations.
  • Advanced knowledge of marine electrical schematics, diagnostics, and operational protocols.
  • Skills & Abilities :

  • Exceptional problem-solving and diagnostic capabilities with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Superior communication skills to engage with executive leadership, clients, and technical teams.
