What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Woodworker/ Cabinet Maker position at Marner's Wood Products?
Requirements
-above average concept of math – fractions and decimals
-basic computer skills are required
-strong leadership and communication skills
-broad understanding of tooling details. Experience with moulder, shaper, gang saw, CNC, drum sander a plus
-firm grasp of construction basics- included but not limited to trim, floors, stairs, doors
-multitasking is inevitable
Responsibilities
-daily management and execution of woodworking projects large and small
-quality control of projects completed to ensure high satisfaction for all customers.
-develop new and adapt existing knowledge and skills to complete the assigned projects
-prioritize multiple operations and projects in accordance with management priorities to ensure maximum efficiency and reliable delivery.
-inform decisions related to the procurement of tools and supplies for assigned area of responsibility
-work with management to ensure properly operating equipment and safe work environments
-work directly with draftsman to ensure clear and concise drawings are produced for assigned projects
-communicate directly with customers when necessary to ensure project accuracy
-promotion of positive, caring and diligent work culture
Experience
-Woodworking: 5 years (preferred) 2 years (required)
-manufacturing/warehouse environment: 1 year (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
