What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flagger/Traffic Control position at MAROC?
The Flagger performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian, and construction traffic movements in a work area; duties may vary according to job assignment.
Certified w/ experience is preferred but not required. Training is provided
Pay starts at $15 depending on experience

Requirements
- Must have valid driver's license. You may be required to operate a company vehicle.
- Must pass pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Check, Criminal Background Check, and Drug Screen.
- Have reliable transportation to work.
- Be able to work in various weather conditions and tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, and rain.
- Regularly works near moving traffic and machines and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint, or throw an object.
- Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands), and multi-limb coordination.
- Noise level is generally loud.
- Must be able to quickly move arms and legs.
- Excellent stamina is required.
- This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able for extended periods of time to perform any and all of the following: stand, walk, jog, climb, kneel, squat, bend at the waist, grasp, and hold various tools and objects with both hands.
Summary
As a Flagger/Traffic Control, you will be essential in ensuring the safety and efficiency of construction sites by directing traffic and managing road closures. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in construction and relevant skills in utility locating to maintain a secure environment for workers and the public. Your premium skills in operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, and dump trucks will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
