JOB DESCRIPTION

The Program Manager is responsible for developing policies and procedures to assist various low-income energy efficiency programs. You will use your knowledge and expertise to make recommendations, identify and resolve internal bottlenecks, and direct day-to-day program operations. You will oversee a subset of Maroma's program portfolio. This job will be responsible for the ongoing and comprehensive monitoring of existing and future program design. Furthermore, you will get a thorough grasp of the programs you oversee, establish strong relationships with clients and contractors, and thoroughly examine the scope of work and goals of any new and prospective programs.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The selected applicant will be in charge of creating standards, procedures, and controls to aid in the monitoring of contractors that provide services for different low-income energy efficiency programs. Typical responsibilities include the following::

  • Develop and maintain program policies, procedures, program implementation plans, and program manuals.
  • Develop and maintain the program implementation plan(s).
  • Ensure stakeholders clearly understand the program’s policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate internal/external workforce development and training activities.
  • Develop onboarding materials and execute onboarding process.
  • Coordinate program ramp-up and implementation activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate day-to-day activities required to support programs (for example, establish quality assurance processes, develop a Program Score Card to track program activity, and prioritize projects).
  • Obtain and assemble insights from performance analytics (for example, common issues, best practices, and customer feedback) and provide recommendations to enhance performance.
  • Implement continuous improvement projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Operations Director, Customer Solutions Center, Program Advisors, and Accounts Payable/Receivable).
  • Handle data requests from clients and executives.
  • Collect feedback from stakeholders in order to discover, plan, and execute program database improvements.
  • Maintain and reconcile the program budget(s).
  • Provide policy direction to stakeholders when resolving escalated concerns.
  • Make program marketing suggestions based on market research, program activities, and stakeholder input.
  • Monitor contractor performance against service level agreements and integrate feedback into end-to-end processes to ensure program goals are achieved, and
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
  • Provide technical writing support for project documentation and deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two or more years' experience within: program management, project management, business operations, project consulting, or similar functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Sociology, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, decision-making abilities, and an exploratory mindset.
  • Ability to proactively assess gaps and develop processes, tools, solutions to remediate.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and desire to build collaborative partnerships.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and change management.
  • Strong project coordination and management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in product management and service delivery

PREFERENCES

  • Working knowledge of Energy Efficiency programs, policies, and contracts.
  • Experience with developing and driving program implementation.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset capable of managing competing objectives and delivering outcomes.

Our goal is to help residents and businesses achieve their energy conservation goals by delivering quality energy conservation solutions and education. Our senior management team has over 50 years of combined experience designing, managing and overseeing low-income energy efficiency and demand response programs.

In addition, our mission is to improve the quality of life of low-income families by connecting them to no cost energy conservation services.

The work mode for this position is hybrid. The employee will be required to come into the office for a predetermined number of days and will have the choice to work remotely on the other days. Employees are required to live in the state of California unless otherwise stated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
