Position Summary:
Are you a strategic and experienced construction professional looking to take your career to the next level? Marous Brothers Construction (MBC) is seeking a Director of Construction (a.k.a. Construction Manager, Construction Project Manager, Director of Facilities, Head of Construction, Construction Operations Manager, etc) to lead and oversee all aspects of project management within our Site Group! In this role, you will drive the overall success of projects, from inception to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and profitability while maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders. You will also mentor and guide the Project Management team to achieve their goals, ensuring that each project aligns with company goals and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Director of Construction, you will manage the Project Management team, assigning staff to new projects, setting goals, and ensuring the accuracy of contract documents and project buyouts. You will assist with financial reporting, budget updates, and participate in the estimating process for upcoming projects. Your role will include monitoring project start dates, managing workloads, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and fostering communication within the team. You'll guide subcontractor selection, resolve project issues, and attend Owner-Architect and progress meetings. Additionally, you will oversee Work-In-Progress (WIP) reviews, contribute to strategic planning, strengthen client relationships, and represent the company at public events. Finally, you will manage the Site Group's budget, track financial performance, and forecast project-related expenses.
Qualifications:
Do you have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience? Are you well-versed in the construction industry, including building codes, laws, and regulations? Do you understand financial practices and accounting policies, as well as construction-software systems? If you have at least ten years of experience managing projects within the construction industry and possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills, you might be the perfect fit for this role. Your ability to coordinate, manage, and direct others effectively will be crucial to your success.
