General Description:
This position is responsible for all aspects of production functions including labelings, filling, capping and packing of raw materials and finished goods while maintaining the production floor in a safe and orderly fashion. Trains production associates on proper methods and procedures.
Reports to: Production Manager
Responsibilities:
- Follow work orders ensuring the correct batch, bulk are consumed.
- Attach identifying labels to materials, cartons, pallets or other containers
- Safely operate all the necessary equipment in the work area.
- Reports daily production numbers (finished goods, scrap, rejects, etc.)
- Trains new associates; trains associates on new methods and procedures
- Responsible for line setup, changeovers and line production
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Follow basic housekeeping requirements in the work area: cleaning equipment, mopping spills and sweeping.
- Adhere to documented Tobacco Policy and Personal Hygiene requirements.
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Previous Experience:
- 1 years of production experience or related experience required
Other Skills:
- Ability to work hours required to fulfill requirement of position
- Be able to identify components by size, type, style, color or product code
- Solid reading skills. Must be able to read work orders and match products according to work order.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions
- Basic Math Skills
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs,
- Able to stand, bend stoop, carry up to 50 lbs for the length of the shift
