General Description:
This position is responsible for all aspects of multiple lines of production including labelings, filling, capping and packing of raw materials and finished goods while maintaining the production floor in a safe and orderly fashion. Trains line leads in the proper methods and procedures of production coordination.
Reports to: Production Manager
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the workflow of multiple lines of production
- Troubleshoots line production, identifying and solving issues to ensure the consistency in production flow
- Ensures Line Leads are working with the team to follow work orders ensuring the correct batch, bulk are consumed.
- Reviews Line Lead reports on daily production numbers (finished goods, scrap, rejects, etc.)
- Maintains quality control over lines; ensures inspections are completed as per procedure.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
- Assists the Line Leads with the training of new associates; trains associates on new methods and procedures
- Oversees line setup, changeovers and line production, ensures lines are correctly set up for product runs
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Educational/Experience Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Lead role
- 1-3 years in manufacturing or distribution, required
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
Other Skills:
- Able to work hours as needed to fulfill requirements of role
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under fast paced circumstances which may result from last minute priority changes, mechanical failure, component issues, personnel issues, etc.
- Results/detail oriented
- Organization and management of multiple priorities and associates
- Ability to train associates
- Problem solving and analysis skills
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs,
- Able to stand, bend stoop, carry up to 50 lbs for the length of the shift
