We offer an AI-powered intellectual property (IP) protection platform that helps brands automatically detect and remove counterfeits from global online marketplaces and social media platforms. Currently, various global brands are using MarqVision to protect their IP.

MarqVision employs its proprietary deep-learning-based AI algorithm to detect IP-infringing products online. We then employ our bot-powered auto-reporting technology and legal expertise to take down infringements efficiently and effectively. Finally, we provide our clients some key performance metrics to help them devise IP legal strategy in a data-driven way.

About the Opportunity - Director of Finance

MarqVision is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Director of Finance to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead the Finance function as we continue our rapid growth. The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing both Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), ensuring that financial operations are streamlined and aligned with our business objectives.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with leadership, providing FP&A support, conducting ad-hoc analysis, and offering insights to drive strategic decision-making. You will play a critical role in improving financial processes to support our next growth phase, which is in the middle of managing the month-end reporting process and daily accounting tasks. This position also offers significant growth potential, with the opportunity to advance to Head of Finance, leading a team in the US while managing a team in South Korea.

What you'll do

Provide strategic support for initiatives, including KPI development with marketing, sales, product, and customer success teams.

Review and analyze monthly financial results, offering insightful commentary.

Collaborate with the Head of Strategy & Operations to establish and maintain forecasting and planning (FP&A) processes.

Revamp the monthly and annual financial close process to align with the SaaS industry standards.

Streamline day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) as aligning with company direction.

Work with external tax advisors to ensure accurate tax file preparation.

Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audits.

Build and lead the Finance team as it grows.

Who You Are

Proactive approach with a strong track record of building and improving accounting / KPI processes in a SaaS start-up.

CPA qualification (ideally with Big 4 experience) or proven experience as a Controller in a global company.

Experience managing debt facilities and ensuring optimal capital allocation.

Passion for working in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.

Commercial acumen with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.

Bonus Points

Degree in Accounting or an MBA.

CPA qualification preferred.

Experience in a rapid-growth, VC-backed tech start-up or scale-up environment.

Strong background in FP&A, Strategic Finance, and Financial Modeling.
