General Description : The Industrial Engineer analyzes manufacturing processes and designs solutions to increase productivity, eliminate waste, reduce costs, and ensure quality and safety standards are maintained, as well as developing metrics for monitoring efficiencies to ensure project success and high-level group performance. This position will also be responsible for working with the Director of Operations on the planning, deployment, and execution of all projects within the business relating to manufacturing and distribution operations.Reports to : Operations DirectorResponsibilities : Assesses existing processes and workflowsOptimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures.Assembles reports to document process status and changesTracks metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgradesCommunicates findings and proposals to leadershipProvides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changesConducts risk assessmentsAssesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standardsWorks closely with the Director, Operations, assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibilityEnsures resource availability and allocationDevelops a detailed project plans to monitor and track progressManages changes to the project scope, project schedules and project costs using appropriate verification techniques, as necessaryEnsures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, as applicableEstablish and maintain relationships with third parties / vendorsCreates and maintains comprehensive project documentationTracks project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goalsAbility to implement project plans through to completionPerforms other related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications / Experience : Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement / ProjectManagement highly preferredManufacturing industry experience highly desirableOther Skills : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Experience in continuous improvement and implementation of cost improvement projects preferredStrong technical skills / aptitude : Proficiency in Google suite of programs, extensiveERP System knowledge and experience required (NetSuite preferred)Additional Technical Skills : Electrical engineering understanding, including PLC logic, programming, and understanding of electric drivesKnowledge of conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and related systems.Familiarity with filling operations, including liquid filling equipment, automation of capping, palletizing, labeling, and sensorsExperience with compounding operations, including understanding of compounding tanks, capacity planning for steam generation / utilization, chiller capacity planning, and chilled water generation / utilizationUnderstanding of different agitators and their use on specific types of products (gels, lotions, shampoos, etc.)Knowledge of RO / DI water systems, closed loop sterile water systems, and valve automationPhysical Requirements : Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of timeMARQ Labs offers a robust benefits suite with most premiums funded by the employer!Marq Labs is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
