About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Transportation Supervisor to oversee our fleet and team of drivers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of DOT regulations, and the ability to manage schedules and resolve on-the-road issues with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support a team of drivers to ensure smooth daily operations
Monitor driver performance, conduct evaluations, and provide coaching or disciplinary action when needed
Coordinate maintenance for fleet of straight trucks, tractors, and trailers with lease company.
Coordinate and assign routes, monitor schedules, and adjust plans to ensure timely deliveries/pickups
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations
Maintain accurate records of driver hours, incidents, inspections, and maintenance
Address driver concerns, troubleshoot route issues, and serve as the first point of contact during incidents or emergencies
Collaborate with dispatch, logistics, and maintenance teams to maintain fleet efficiency
Actively promote workplace safety while conducting scheduled safety meetings and training sessions with drivers
Maintain a strong understanding of how to use electronic logging devices (Samsara) to ensure compliance across the company
Qualifications:
Class A CDL is required
Doubles and Triples endorsement preferred
High school diploma or GED required
3 years of experience in transportation/logistics or fleet management
Prior supervisory or leadership experience is required
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in using routing/logistics software and Microsoft Office
