COMPENSATION: $55,000 - $70,000 base salary USD and eligible for discretionary bonus plan

MARQUEE DEVELOPMENT is a full-service real estate firm that specializes in mixed-use sports and entertainment districts. We strategically manage every aspect of a sports-adjacent mixed-use development with a best-in-class ability to curate the experience for a team, fans and community. By bringing bring a sports-operational mindset to traditional real estate development, we focus on the critical integration of team operations and real estate to ensure the experience amplifies the brand of the district, while complementing and protecting the team brand to maximize long-term franchise value.


HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

Marquee Development is looking for a Social Media Specialist who knows how to turn moments into momentum, crafting engaging content that connects fans, communities, brands and developments. Your creativity, strategy, and digital prowess will help bring our mixed-use districts to life—both online and in real life. This individual will be responsible for channel and content management, follower growth and engagement, community management, and influencer partnerships for Gallagher Way, adjacent to the iconic Wrigley Field, North Loop Green in Minneapolis, and other brands as Marquee Development continues to expand its business. The candidate must be creative, self-motivated, capable of taking direction, possess great attention to detail, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.


THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Work closely with marketing and events team to create and execute social media strategies for brands and developments across the portfolio

• Manage social media accounts for Marquee Development and related brands, developments and projects

• Use cross-functional planning tools to schedule and manage the social media calendar, social listening, and reporting as needed

• Collaborate with graphic designers to develop creative assets needed for social channels

• Work with external photographers and videographers to schedule content shoots as needed for social channels

• Attend tentpole events to capture video and photo content

• Own community management across brands’ social channels, including but not limited to daily social checks, social listening, community management, and engagement

• Establish and report on key success metrics for each social platform, optimizing efforts based on performance insights

• Evolve influencer marketing strategy and oversee relationships with content creators

• Understand social media trends and how to incorporate into the various brands while maintaining brand authenticity

• Collaborate with other members of the marketing team to ensure social and influencer strategy works in tandem with overall integrated marketing strategy for each brand


WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• 2-5 years of relevant professional experience

• Hands-on social media experience across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)

• Experience negotiating influencer partnerships (paid and trade)

• Deep understanding of social media platforms and social management tools

• Portfolio of relevant examples of past work demonstrating a creative and diverse approach to storytelling on social platforms

• Stellar organizational and project management skills

• Demonstrated a meticulous attention to detail as it relates to grammar, copywriting, and editing

• Ability to travel up to 25%

• Experience using Canva to design creative assets

• General understanding of project management tools (preferably Asana, etc.)

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience strongly preferred

• Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Strong ability to bring a brand voice and identity to life through social platforms

• Experience working with sports, entertainment, hospitality, and/or real estate brands

• Working knowledge of Chicago’s and/or Minneapolis’ cultural arts, music, festival, and culinary scene

• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, web/social analytics tools, and/or marketing automation software

• Working knowledge of paid digital media space
