The Director / Head of Finance will be responsible for managing the financial health of the organization, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and optimizing financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance accounting, proficiency in QuickBooks, and experience in financial management and reporting.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.
- Monitor financial risk, including insurance claims reserves and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP.
- Utilize QuickBooks to manage accounting records and streamline financial processes.
- Collaborate with leadership to set financial goals and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee cash flow management and cost controls.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal insurance regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banks.
- Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff as needed
- Oversee vendor payables, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Manage accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) to maintain cash flow efficiency.
