Entry Level Extrusion Operator's Needed in Vista Ca. All Shift's available!
Job summary:
We are seeking an individual with any technical background for entry level extrusion line operator in pipe extrusion. This entry level extrusion will be part of the team that operate the extruder line to produce polyethylene pipe (irrigation tubing). The work is primarily characterized for responsibility of unloading and processing plastic pipe coils from the extrusion lines. This position supports the Lead operator activity and the team that operate it, utilizing company resources to meet production schedules.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Able to unloads and processes plastic pipe coils from the extrusion lines.
• Able to start and stop extrusion line within 30 days of assignment to area
• Dependable, responsible, and adaptable
• Assist Extrusion lead operator in start-up of lines as required.
• Able to safely operate all equipment and systems in extrusion
• Record inspection data manually or in electronic format.
• Monitors the line to ensure continuous production.
• Communicate effectively with management, engineers, mechanics, and operators.
• Able to detects and reports defective material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to department Lead or Supervisor.
• Interfaces with all departments as required to produce high quality products
Position Requirements
• Prior experience in a production setting working with plastics and/or extruded tubing a plus.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently under stressful situations.
• Must be able to perform basic math computations
• Ability to work closely with others in the company
• Must have the ability to learn new technologies.
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Minimum 1 to 2 years related operator experience is preferred.
• Bilingual a plus
• Forklift experience a plus
• Ability to work overtime
Environment
The work is performed in a manufacturing and distribution plant environment. Position is subject to loud noise (hearing protection is required), high/low temperatures and other environmental conditions as would be normal in a manufacturing environment. 1st shift : 05:00 am – 01:30 pm - Rate $17.00/hr.
2ND shift : 01:00 pm - 09:30 pm – Rate $18.00/hr.
3rd shift : 09:00 pm – 05:30 am – Rate $20.00/hr.
Salary : $17 - $20
