Program/Aftermarket Manager

 

 

Summary of Role

•       Develops and implements plans to support aftermarket spares and repairs to key new or existing customers. Plans, coordinates, and prepares proposals of diverse scope and complexity in response to customer's request for proposal (RFP). Acts as primary customer interface by developing and maintaining on-going long-term relationships and through customer performance reviews.

 

•       Strategic contact with customers and responsible for the overall customer satisfaction and sale growth for the Aftermarket product segment. Accountable for development and execution of sales plans for Airlines, aftermarket and MRO customers that support company growth and profitability objectives.

•       Responsible for meeting sales and order targets and capable of obtaining customer intel / forecasts and translating that into specific action plans.

 

•       Compiles and analyzes statistical data on past sales and trends to forecast future trends and market changes.

 

•       Responsible for meeting sales and order targets for portfolio of customers identified and assigned. Capable of obtaining customer intel/forecasts and translating that into division specific action plans as it relates to FY plan and outlook.

 

•       Owns and drives the customer scorecard performance metrics (delivery, TAT, quality, warranty and customer service) and co-ordinates with all associated departments to maintain a consistently high-performance level.

 

•       Inquiries are generated worldwide and include questions relating to product application, identity, availability, conversion feasibility and the like. Accountabilities will be performed under general supervision from the Director of Sales but will be accomplished through cooperation, communication and interface with various functional groups.

 

 

Essential Duties

•       Conduct research and market analysis, identify new business opportunities

•       Develop and drive execution of Sales strategies for new and existing products or services

•       Promotes and sell the assigned products and services worldwide, understanding the market (Airlines, Aftermarket spares customers, MRO’s, competitors etc.)

•       Pursues business expansion with existing customers through new product/ service offering and/or contract change proposal

•       Responsible for pricing strategies in coordination with the Sales Director to achieve maximum margin, growth and financial targets.

•       Coordinate commercial offers with the Business Unit teams.

•       Negotiate the offers and contracts with customers with the assistance of the Business Unit Managers.

•       Report customer satisfaction for the assigned product segment

•       Ensure internal communication / cooperation is achieved with the Business units and Management team.

•       Provides input to the development of new product or service strategies to meet customer requirements.

•       Supports the forecasting process and the development of the annual sales plan with coordination between the Business Units, and is an active participant in all necessary phases of the process.

•       Travel to support customer meetings, as required.

 

 

Essential Qualifications

•       Must have an in-depth knowledge of sales principles and techniques, Company products, Company philosophy, business strategies, and objectives.

•       Must have thorough knowledge of and the dynamics of the assigned region.

•       Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical experience. Degree in marketing/business is desirable. Sales management experience of 8 - 10 years.

•       The ability to travel 20-30% of working time.

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
