Position Overview

Our electronic component service client is seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking individual to join our team as a Warehouse Testing Technician in Lake Forest. This role blends warehouse operations with technical expertise, focusing on managing inventory and shipping / receiving tasks while testing and qualifying computer hardware components. The ideal candidate should excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate technical problem-solving skills, and have a proactive approach to ensuring quality.

22 - $26 / hr

8am to 4pm, Mon - Fri Sat OT

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Testing Duties :
Test and qualify computer hardware, including HDDs, SSDs, and memory modules.
Troubleshoot and restore functionality of defective components or systems.
Set up, install, and configure hardware and software.
Safely and effectively wipe and reinstall operating systems.
Handle legacy equipment such as SCSI and IDE drives.
Warehouse Operations :
Perform receiving and shipping tasks, including inspecting, labeling, and packing products.
Verify and document inbound and outbound shipments accurately.
Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
Conduct inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and physical inspections.
General Responsibilities :
Ensure all tasks meet company quality and efficiency standards.
Regular attendance and punctuality.
Perform other duties as assigned by management. Experience & Skills

High School Diploma or GED required.

Technical Skills :

Proven experience in computer hardware testing or a related field.

Knowledge of computer systems, IT components, and legacy hardware (e.g., IDE, SCSI).

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A ) are a plus.

Warehouse Skills :

Experience in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving (1-2 years preferred).

Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Familiarity with domestic shipping procedures.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a collaborative mindset.
