Marquette Medical offers comprehensive medical care for acute illness and injury including on-site X-ray, point-of-care ultrasound, and full sedation capabilities for procedures. We are minutes from the area’s only level II trauma center for ease of transfers. Beyond the basics, this locally owned and operated urgent care facility seeks to bridge gaps in the local healthcare system, including infusion services, ketamine treatment for mental health, peer-to-peer counseling and intervention for first responders (police, fire, EMS, dispatch and corrections officers) and comprehensive support including forensic evidence collection for survivors of sexual assault.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Urgent Care Physician located in Marquette, MI. The Urgent Care Physician will be responsible for providing immediate medical care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries, performing diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Full time is considered a minimum of 10, 10-hour shifts per month (open 8am-6pm seven days per week). Benefits include W2 hourly wages (rate dependent on board certification), 401k with match, vacation/sick time, CME funds, and health/vision/dental plan.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and board certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine
• Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating urgent medical conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care setting
• Experience in minor procedures such as suturing and wound care
• Experience with electronic medical records systems
• Current state medical license and DEA registration
• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is a plus
